Lesley Yuen – Air Asia Cadet 2018

I’m Lesley Yuen, from Seri Kembangan, Serdang. I’m 18 this year I applied this programme in April 2018 and got my offer letter on 6 August 2018.

At first, I didn’t thought I could make through the stages. I thought I would fail in the middle. From the bottom of my heart, I am extremely blessed and excited when I knew that I passed the interview session and made it to the stage of loan briefing. From stage 1 which is the entrance exam, stage 2 which is the personality test ( I forgot the name of this test), stage 3 which is the QCT ( qualitative critical thinking, something like a maths test )and the psychomotor test, to stage 4 which is the interview session. Finally to the stage 5 loan briefing and stage 6 medical check-up. For me, all these stages are not easy, you really have to put your own effort in them. So, story begins with I saw the cadet opening in April 2018 and since my father suggested me that I should go and try my luck, so I just went ahead. Honestly, I have dreamt to become a pilot since I was young. The reason that I didn’t speak it out is because of a lot of ppl said that females are impossible to become pilots until I know Air Asia. My family members and I usually travel by Air Asia and I was thinking: if I could become one of the pilots sitting in the cockpit, navigating the flight, that would be the best day of my life. And till now, my dream came true. Because Air Asia made my dream came true, that’s why I’m able to achieve my dream, becoming one of the Air Asia cadet pilots now.

To all the girls, don’t be afraid or hesitate! Dreams do come true if u really did put your own effort.

You dont have to stay at KL
Go back home
And come back
It will take about 3-4 months to complete the whole stage
