21st July 2018 – As a new batch it was not easy to get along with everyone as all the cadets here are not of the same age group as you. Though, we slowly tried to get used to the environment and the daily tight and packed schedules. Classes here start at 0800 and ends at 1700.

After a week of hustle here, abang Ismail arranged a team bonding trip for us. It was island hopping. So on the D-day we got up in the morning around 9, had our breakfast at Bella Vista and we left to a place near Resort World Langkawi. From there we got on a speed boat which felt very fragile because the whole boat structure is made of wood.

The first scenery we saw was, The Pulau Dayang Bunting (a mountain that resembles a pregnant lady)  from boat but we were there not longer than 5 minutes because none of us were interested. After that, we headed to Pulau Dayang Bunting. There we climbed about 300 stairs to witness a beautiful large freshwater lake. The lake was very deep and huge. We spent about 1 hour over there having loads of fun.

Then we headed to eagle feeding which was cool. The boat driver threw chunks of chicken skin into the water. Then came a huge flock of eagles diving from high altitudes and slowing down right above the water to grab the chicken skins. It was truly amazing and fun to watch.

Then we headed to Pantai Beras Basah. We had our lunch there, some fried fish, rice and chicken curry (Gulai Ayam). One of my batchmates lost his phone but luckily one of the local fishermen saw the phone and returned it back to us. It was a good deed. After having fun in the water and playing with the mangrove seeds we packed our things and headed back to HM Aerospace.

We were lucky enough to experience this because so far out of all the batches only 2 managed to go for this team bonding trip. And we are grateful to be considered one of the lucky ones. We are now planning a future trip to Telaga Tujuh soon… Hope it would be after our phase 1 exam.
